Tag Features * Now NLIS Approved *
The Drovers RFID ear tag consists of a HDX microchip
contained in a lightweight polyurethane two piece ear tag.
The HDX microchip has been developed exclusively for Drovers Ay-One
and was designed specifically to suit Australian conditions to provide
fast, reliable data capture in paddock, saleyard and abattoir conditions.
Visually readable information is printed on a light flexible flap
permanently attached to the female component of the device,
using Drover's exclusive print processes to create highly visual,
UV stable characters.
Size and clarity of the printed characters enables the tag to be used as an on-farm
management tag. Visual characters on the tag can be read in the paddock, yard or race.
Electronic read distance is upto 1 meter for sheep and 1.2 meters for cattle using a commercial
race mounted panel reader.
Tags can be applied with most commonly available RFID ear tag applicators.
The tags have been extensively trialed, and are approved for use under the NLIS.
